The Sysdeo/SQLI Eclipse Tomcat Launcher is an Eclipse plugin that allows to start and stop a Tomcat application server within the Eclipse environment. It can be downloaded and easily installed into WebRatio 5 since the plugin is compatible with the 3.2 Eclipse version. You can configure the plugin in order to start the tomcat application server installed with WebRatio or an external one.

Here are some guidelines to integrate this plugin in WebRatio 5.

  1. Download the Sysdeo/SQLI Eclipse Tomcat Launcher plugin from the official website.
  2. Extract the archive file content into the "plugins" folder under your WebRatio 5 installation directory.
  3. Relaunch WebRatio 5.
  4. If the Tomcat icons are not shown in the toolbar select Menu > Customize Perspective > Commands and check "Tomcat" in the Available Command Groups.
  5. Select Window > Preferences. Choose the "Tomcat" item. Choose 5.X as the Tomcat version if you are going to use the WebRatio integrated Tomcat. Then locate the Tomcat home (installation directory).
  6. Choose "server.xml" as the Context declaration mode.
  7. Apply the changes.
